Public Service Role The CRO also assists the Police by providing trained personnel and specialist equipment for rescues and searches outside of normal mountain and cave rescue.

This has included the recovery of drivers and passengers from snowbound cars, urban searches for missing persons and, more recently, assistance in a search for a murder victim.
