The CRO maintains two sets of diving equipment for immediate deployment and use by members of the Cave Diving Group. Such incidents may include an overdue cave diver, a diver injured beyond a sump or potentially cavers trapped by floodwater.
The Cave Diving Group maintains a list of its local members who are available for callout. CRO has a Diving Officer who is res
ponsible for the maintenance and serviceability of the equipment and who is also a member of the CDG.
Our neighbouring team the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association has a similar amount of compatible equipment that will be called upon when required.
