FundraisingYou can support the team directly by taking part in our annual challenge walk
The CRO is a charity run by volunteers, and financially entirely dependant on public donations. We are very grateful to all those people and organisations that generously donate money or equipment to us. Various events are organised by members and supporters, foremost being The Broughton 'Game Show'. This is held annually and offers a wide variety of events for a family day out. Periodically, the bird man challenge is opened to all-comers to fly, unaided by any mechanical means, across the river at Broughton Hall. The proceeds from the Game Show are jointly shared between UWFRA (Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association) and CRO.
Your help is greatly appreciated, now more than ever! Our Thanks to Lyon Equipment and Petzl (link) for their continued sponsorship. Please consider using the banner below on your website or email footer to help us raise funds via Just Text Giving, we get 100% of funds raised plus up to 25% gift aid. Try it!
We will soon be providing on-line support and information for people, companies and organisations who wish to help the CRO raise funds, without which the CRO could not operate. Registered Charity No. 241091 For more information at present, please contact the secretary:
